Personal Biography
Timothy was born in the village of Long Bennington in England. After the defeat at Hastings, Timothy’s Saxon parents fled with him to Constantinople and entered service to the Byzantine empire. Timothy was raised as a Saxon while his father served in the Varangian guard. Upon his father’s death at the hands of the Normans at the Battle of Dyrrhachium, Timothy enlisted as a Varangian himself before eventually leaving to join the first crusade to recapture Jerusalem. Upon reclaiming the city, Timothy returned to England, and now competes in tournaments in England, France, and Normandy in an effort to extend his fortunes and bolster his family name.
